Having had such a keen interest in photography for so long,  l am a little embarrassed to say that l have never really improved my photography skills. l naively thought that all l needed to do was to buy a better camera and l would achieve better shots. Alas, thousands of pounds later, l discovered that this was not the answer. l have certainly improved my technical knowledge and have become reasonably proficient with Photoshop, but this is not, in my opinion, what true photography is all about. A good photographer can 'see' a good shot and instinctively know the position, the angle etc. from where to take the photo. l have not got that ability, and have to rely on taking numerous shots, in the hope of getting one good one. Regardless of this, l still enjoy snapping away in the hope of achieving that one outstanding shot......l live in hope!!
